ADHD Assessment Screening

ADHD Assessment Screening of adults presenting with ADHD symptoms typically requires at least two visits. As well as allowing for a thorough evaluation, two visits allows the clinician to assess motivation for follow up, persistence of symptoms and dysfunction, and likelihood for alternative diagnoses. The following components of a complete evaluation are considered during both visits:

Review and corroboration of current symptoms and dysfunction

Determination of a childhood onset

Evaluation for comorbid and /or mimicking psychiatric problems, medical disorders or substance abuse.

Please Note: This Assessment Screening is NOT Diagnostic however you can share the results with your primary care provider for further discussion.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), as with most therapy approaches, focuses on the individual’s present concerns. However, rather than just talking about it, EMDR uses eye movement or other forms of stimulation to activate the brain’s ability to resolve these concerns.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented type of talk therapy. It can help manage mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety, and emotional concerns, such as coping with grief or stress. CBT can also help manage non-psychological health conditions, such as insomnia and chronic pain.

I'm a Prairie girl and have always lived in Saskatchewan. My career started in Nursing eventually moving on to a Bachelor of Social Work, and most recently completed a Master's of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I have been successfully assisting clients throughout Saskatchewan and facilitating their self-growth for 30+ years.

My special interest is working with adults with ADHD and supporting individuals who struggle with the affects of ADHD neurodiversity.

ADHD is prevalent in my own family so I understand the daily struggles individuals experience.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands, my services aim to introduce clarity and self-motivation. I also teach techniques to better manage the emotional stress of everyday life.
